As training of the Jordanian military goes on with British arms, funding, and military officers a restructuring was very much needed to turn this into at least some sort of proper fighting force. Firstly, the Amir and Glubb Pasha decided to follow British and most Allied strategies by moving the veterans of the Arab Legion members and Iraqforce that served in World War Two within the various units of the Jordanian military in the hopes of sharing their first-hand experience with the newer soldiers. They would also form the large majority of the officer corps of the Arab Legion, and be put into positions of power as necessary. In addition, the Desert Force would be expanded from 350 Bedouins to a force of 500 armed with the weapons provided by the British to better secure its borders, especially with the recent unrest and continued occupation of Iraq and general unrest in the region.
