Ads not granting rewards

I get a lot of Credit Karma ads and sometimes I miss the X which causes the app to open.
I go back to AE and close the ad but I always lose the boost/tokens and need to watch again. I'm probably out 50 hours and 100 AB's at this point based on rewards not granted.
Anyone else have an issue like this?
