Hey ATL fans. I came through town for a conference, and made sure to get to the game tonight. Congrats on the win! Last time I saw a game, you beat my Timbers to an MLS cup (not salty).
I’m wondering if anyone can help me. A white couple in their late 50s/ early 60s were trying to find tickets before the game. I tried to explain how to download SeatGeek, but long story short I took pity on the couple and bought them the tickets through my account. He said, “my son just taught me how to use Zelle” - believe me, all the warning signs were there - and so I had him pay me back through the app. Apparently it didn’t go through with the bad cell reception.
I don’t think this couple was scamming. I think I’m on the wrong end of lack of caution and a user error. I’m not poor, but $282 stings (SeatGeek is such a ripoff).
I’m hoping someone will read this, and then will talk to their dad who went to the game. They’ll tell you this crazy story of the man who bought them tickets to the game right before it started. Reach out - your dad probably wants to get me the money.
Good luck to you this season!
