Really nervous and excited all at once. My wife and I have been discussing starting a family for a while, and we think the time is approaching! That being said, I literally have no idea where to start. We just moved close to Stockbridge and the highest rated OBGYN practice near us also happens to be Christian based. Which is fine if that's your thing, but makes me really anxious and nervous about approaching them as a lesbian couple.
Does anyone have suggestions for an OBGYN in the Atlanta-ish area? We're considering a doula or midwife, so if they have those on staff that is a plus. I'm antsy about the idea of a male doctor seeing me for this, but am willing to be open minded if I know they are accepting. We are considering various methods for fertilization, so ideally our OBGYN will have knowledge of options for LGBT couples.
I know that's a lot to throw out there, I'm just hoping for a little guidance as I feel like a fish out of water at this point.
