Comic book geeks of ATL: What's the best and closest Comic Con, if not one in Atlanta?

I know we get Dragon*Con, but I'm ready to go to a full-on Comic Con. I feel like NY and San Diego will just be too far away/expensive/crowded, but I know there are some on the East Coast.
Anyone had any pleasant experiences at any? Or are there any in Atlanta?
