Do I need to worry about Min Maxing the party system? (Ryza 1)

I'm the kind of person that hates having to think about whether or not I'm utilizing every mechanic to it's max potential but can't help worrying if I should. That said, can I get away with just using my 3 favorite characters (Lila, Ryza, Klaudia) with A rank equipment, or am I going to need to study everyone's natural stats and abilities and skills and who works with who and setting up combos??
