I am Poli Sci student but I am taking an astronomy course out of interest (I kind of wish I went into the sciences). Anyhow, Earths escape speed might be far greater than that of Mars. And thus that's why there are approximately 100 rocks from Mars that have been found on earth. Could the reverse be true to a lesser extent?

Premise: Dinosaur extinction caused by large Asteroid. Perhaps sending rocks in outer space that contained bacterial life which could have landed elsewhere?

Maybe the impact or atmosphere would have killed them. It would depend on how indestructible they were.

Probably a stupid question. More of a thought experiment... Conclusion: Bacteria beat the US and Russia to the moon!
