Astro a50 help needed / won’t charge xbox

My Astro a50s won’t charge. When I connect them to the base station they turn on instead of charging. I tried the hard reset and looking for software updates in the command center on my PC. This is my 2nd pair already. Not sure what to do. I’m tired of Astro getting away with selling shitty products.
