Long story short I’ve never had asthma my whole life…played sports, stayed active etc. Never had a problem.
NOW-COVID hits and I cough so much I break 2 ribs. Now every single time I get sick with upper respiratory/sinus I constantly cough. No cough meds work and even if I don’t have a fever or any other symptoms I cough. No other issues.
Got a small cough around thanksgiving called MDlive and doc gave me Albuterol and pearls (they do nothing for me)
2 weeks later urgent care…upper respiratory infection- z pak and prednisone and kenalog shot
I felt better then last week I started again. I went to my primary care doctor and he listened and noted wheezing, ronchi and low breathing sounds, ordered a chest x ray. Got the results and no pneumonia.
I still have the albetrol inhaler and then he prescribed Airsupra. So far the airsupra has helped wayyy more than just the albuterol but I’ll have good days and bad days. 2 doses/ 2 pumps morning and night.
If I’m still having some issues do I need to be on something else? I also take zyzal and Singulair.
I’ve never had this so I’m trying to figure out WHAT I should be asking my doc.
Thanks for reading ya’ll. I appreciate this group so much!
