Friendly PSA: If you have a history of asthma (even if only as a kid), be very cautious about driving for extended periods of time with your windows down. I did so for a while when I couldn’t afford to replace the AC in my truck (I live in Texas and so windows down without AC is a must, otherwise you bake alive), and my asthma slowly returned from childhood. NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) is one of several pollutants that are highly correlated with dense, stop-and-go traffic. If you’re taking all that in through your windows on the daily, that could help explain your emerging anxiety or asthma symptoms. Tricks I’ve used: fans powered by cigarette lighter, wet bandana, misting fans or portable swamp cooler (just be wary of humidity levels).
Tldr: sucks to be poor
