My mom has Parkinson's and often has stiff legs and awful tremors.
The caregivers we have hired at home are very accommodating and help stretch her legs, apply pressure to her feet, etc when she needs to lay down. This actually seems to help the tremors die down.
I got the sense that she won't get that sort of support in assisted living. It's a strict buzzer system (so they won't be with her all day, only when called) and I'm not sure they will help press down on her legs/feet if she wants that - as one example. Both because these activities aren't on their official menu of services, and also because of liability.
