I just want to start out with the very important fact that cps is and continues to be a part of my niece's life. She was sexually abused by her stepfather who is now in prison, and as a result, they have an open cps case.

My best friend is in the hospital in liver failure. She has signed custody of her three children over to her mother, whom I witnessed abuse my best friend on multiple occasions. My niece tries to stay in contact with me, but she's really struggling mentally. She's been self-harming, so much that she's run out of room on one arm and both thighs. She's been vaping, at 13. She tried to kill herself once already, close to two years ago.

I have an iPhone 7 just sitting here. I planned to sell it, but when my niece said that she would text me more but she has a $20 piece of crap phone, I immediately changed that plan. I texted with a USPS customer service rep today, and she advised me to send the phone in a flat rate box. Shipping is $9.45, with another $3.15 for $100 insurance on the package, making it a total of $12.60. I am disabled, I "work" for my brother as full time child care, and he pays my cellphone bill, but I DON'T have any reliable income to send this to her.

I'm attaching a couple of screenshots, one from the USPS, and a few important ones from my niece. I really can't just sit here and do nothing... I feel so powerless to help her. But she's the light of my life and I can't imagine a world where I wake up and she's dead. I'm genuinely afraid that if she doesn't have a way to communicate with me and her friends/boyfriend, that she'll again decide to take her own life. If anyone has a few bucks and could help, I would be forever grateful.
