Need Help in Finding a Low Cost Way to Get a Better Laptop

Post Body

I am unsure whether this would be a request or advice. I definitely don’t expect anyone to provide anything financial.

I was able to purchase a refurbished laptop with some of the money from one of the stimulus checks, but had to go with the lowest cost option I could because of poverty. It works, kind of, but struggles with what I need it to do. It’s not currently needed for school or work (I am permanently physically/medically disabled) but I do use it for volunteer work with a non profit. This volunteer work has been a tremendous source of purpose and meaning, which has been hard to find when (due to illness) I lost close to everything that mattered to me. Because the requirements for the volunteer work are incredibly flexible, it is something I can do. I write reports about the children in different programs, both for donors and for the child’s records, and complete data entry for medical records for the children. I can provide proof of this if needed. My laptop struggles to run the basic programs that I need for these tasks.

I am looking for suggestions of ways I could possibly obtain a laptop that runs a bit better (nothing fancy) at a really low cost. I cannot sell plasma, and already do surveys for money to help with daily expense things.

I have received help from here in the past, and remain forever thankful for the amazing people here.
