Edit #3:
So someone anonymously sent me every item in my Amazon wishlist which I am eternally grateful for <3. But I would still like to continue the postcard tradition going so anyone who comments will be receiving a scanned personalized postcard. :)
Hey, there! I'm a senior uni student and this crisis has made it incredibly difficult to make ends meet. I was already cutting it short before everything happened, and now I'm struggling to survive the coming weeks. To be totally transparent, I only have $20 in my bank account and somehow need to make this last until the Fall, where I'll start at a graduate program in astronomy.
As part of my uni work, I got to travel a lot for internships and even got to visit several countries to promote science learning towards young students! I accumulated quite a bit of postcards (they're my pride and joy haha) and I was wondering if any of you would like to receive a personalized post card with a sweet message on the back in exchange for a little financial help. All assistance is greatly appreciated! :)
If you are not comfortable with me sending the physical postcard to you, I can always scan the card with the message and send it to you via PM.
Edit:
Here are some of the things your help would be going towards:Groceries for this week, rent that is overdue, and antidepressant medication I haven't refilled.
Edit #2:
Groceries: I've created an Amazon Wishlist of some essential items that would be very helpful right now! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1XSQQWWCEO6KR?ref_=wl_share
Since I'm vegetarian, my typical grocery run is only around $35 per week, so any amount or literally any item would honestly go a long way.
Antidepressants: I'm currently supposed to be on Sertraline HCL (25mg/day), Hydroxizine HCL (25mg/day), and Bupropion HCL (300mg/day). Since I recently changed pharmacies, I'm not sure how much they go for now! The last time I went was to refill the Setraline, which was around $27 for 30 pills. (That's all I could afford.) Right now I only have some of Hydroxyzine tabs left, which def helps with anxiety at the very least.
As for employment, I am currently communicating with faculty at my new uni to see if I could begin doing the research aspect of my degree early, aka start working there during the summer! It's good to have back ups though, so I'll def look for employment elsewhere.
My rent (for one room) is $770/month (including everything). It was due the first of May, and so far I was only able to pay $520 of it.
