In 2013 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis, I had just turned 18 and started a new job which I enjoyed and was good at. My health eventually got the the point where I could no longer rely on my health to work consistently, this resulted in me being kicked out of my parents house and I moved into a homeless shelter where I stayed for 3 years. I eventually managed to get onto ESA and PIP and then found a flat on the housing register. Up until May of last year everything was going OK, I was on top of all my bills and had no debts. Then I had a mandatory health assessment and they determined I was fit for work, and they stopped my ESA and PIP which also led to me losing my housing benefit. At the time I felt like I was capable of working and didn't challenge their decision, it took me until November to find a job and when I did I started paying council tax when they sent me the bill for two years totalling over £1400. Unfortunately my health started to decline due to the stress of working 14 hour shifts and having to cycle 20 miles a day to get to work and I had to quit and went on to Universal credit which for me is £205 a month to pay all my bills as well as food and medication. The medication in my case is cannabis/marijuana/whatever, it is the only thing I've found that eases my symptoms without leaving me with a bunch of nasty side effects like a weakened immune system which leads to mouth ulcers that cover my whole tongue and random skin infections in sensitive areas making it difficult to walk, unfortunately I can't afford to buy any at the moment and I'm starting to flare up for the 1st time in 2 years which really isn't fun. We are also running low on food and cat food, the food banks in my area of being hammered thanks to universal credit, I would love to be able to buy food for me ,my flat-mate and my kitten Nibbler.
If someone could help me out with £100 to buy food, toiletries and my medication, I would be eternally grateful and more than happy to pay it forwards when I'm back on my feet.
Please forgive me if what I'm asking for is either too much or somewhat taboo but I'm at the end of my tether and have nowhere else to turn
Any help would be appreciated
