My best bud moved into his new place last week. They moved because the new place they were renting had a nice fenced in yard for their two dogs. They didn't realize that the fence was weak in a spot and their one dog, Maverick, was able to break open a spot to escape. My bud heard the other dog barking and went to check. He went to look for Maverick and found him laying on the side of the road in very bad shape. It was a hit and run. They brought him to the emergency vet and was able to keep him stable and save his life. They are now faced with paying for a hip replacement for their pup. He's an awesome dog and my buddy and his wife are both awesome people. Both their dogs are rescue animals and have known each other for almost their entire lives (the other dog is a little older.)
