Hello everyone,

My family has fallen on some very hard times, and I am hoping that we can find a hand up here. I have an 8 yr old Autistic son, and have been struggling financially since I left work w/my 2nd stoke, and had heart surgery. My hubby is disabled suffering from multiple medical conditions like renal kidney failure, and diabetes, etc. We truly could use help for the next few weeks, just to get back on our feet.

Our son on the ASD Spectrum's birthday is in a few days, and I have no gift, no cake, (not even one to bake), and we barely have food on our table, or regular necessities. We truly are hurting right now, and badly. It hurts me very badly to not have nothing for our son; he is such a wonderful boy, and truly deserves a smile on his birthday. It is breaking my heart as I sit here writing this because I don't know what I will do or say in 2 days when it's his birthday. I just feel like I am letting him down so bad. I already feel like crap enough for needing help in general, but to need birthday help as well, is just embarrassing and saddening.

I would like to add on here that we have decided to celebrate our son's birthday on SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, 2014, at a nearby park. The park is free to use, and has lots of slides, swings, etc the kids and furry babies can utilize. This gives us time to try and possibly get some help if possible. So PLEASE, IF YOU CAN HELP, please do, it would be so appreciated! Again, God bless!
