Hello all, In a few days I am supposed to be having a surgery on my heart to repair my PFO. The closest (and ONLY) hospital near me that performs the procedure I need done, is 2 hours from where I live.Right now, I am at my wits end trying to figure out what to do because I need to have this procedure done, and I know I have no gas to get to and from the hospital, no place to stay once I am there (My procedure is at going to be at 6 a.m. so I must be there earlier to register and get ready), no way to provide food for my husband or son while there, etc. etc. My youngest son is on the ASD Spectrum, w/multiple other medical conditions. My daughter just lost a baby, a family member was just given several months to live, I suffered a stroke that left me disabled and out of work and school (I was finishing my 2nd college degree). My hubby is disabled as well w/multiple medical conditions: renal kidney failure, diabetes and more. The day before Christmas Eve my son was in tears because I was rushed to the emergency room with stroke-like symptoms, extremely high blood pressure (200/120 approx). He was crying because he thought his Mommy was going to die on Christmas. This broke my heart. I NEVER want to see that look on my son's face again. I feel like crap having to come here and post about being such a failure and needing help, but honestly I DON'T know what else to do. I will make a wish list, & add a few things on it for him. This tears me up inside. He already has enough obstacles to overcome, he doesn't need to add this to the list. I feel so guilty writing this and I am practically in tears as I do, but I don't know where to turn. If you have any questions, or suggestions, please feel free to contact me by PM. Any help at all will be appreciated! Maybe someone can find it in their heart to help us get a hotel room, or some gift cards for food and gas, I don't know.
