Hi all! This is hard to do and I will try and make this short, but here goes. A year and a half ago I decided to start over by getting sober (alcohol). I had let it completely take over my life. Long story short, I stayed in the city I got sober in bc of the recovery community, my sponsor, and the change seemed to be what I needed! Long story short, I am moving into an apt of my own after living with another friend in recovery. Her bf moved in with us and things just weren’t working. I have a full time job and am doing well at, but the promotion and raise have not come yet and I’m having a hard time keeping up with bills. I move into my new place next week, while also paying my last months rent to my current place. I also have the electric in my name. Essentially, I need $100 to meet the needs of both rents and both electrics, as $100 is where I fall short. I have gas money set aside for work, and 3 close meetings in the meantime.
I will be getting a bonus and promotion at work next month, and intend to give back when I’m able (it’s part of my AA program to already do so, and I do with my free time). I’m sorry if this is long winded/confusing. If anybody could help at all, I would be eternally grateful 🙏🏼. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this!
Ps. For anybody looking into sobriety, don’t let this fool you. My life is still 1000% better than it was when I was drinking everyday. And I know it will continue to get better. The one thing that won’t help me in this? Drinking. That I DO know!
