Farming Metals the Easy Way

Saw my first meteor a couple weeks ago and someone said you can farm them.. wasn't sure, but found my second meteor. I was able to ride 200m away, then circle back few dozen times for enough Titanium to level up the last few frequented weapons that weren't maxed out.
Going back to look for the first meteor I saw that dropped tungsten next, all gold everything very soon.
