I’m about to start the Crocodile’s Jaws quest in Krokodilopolis and I’ve read that you don’t get to keep the repaired/clean medjay shield Bayek uses during it.

I’ve been googling and some people said they were able to glitch it and keep it (though they didn’t mention how to replicate it) but I also came across a thread of a guy who said he did the quest and it was just in his inventory without even attempting any glitch.

By chance, I’ve seen a snapshot from another player of a picture they took (you know how pictures other players take will randomly appear on your map when you load in?) and I could see he had a clean medjay shield on his back, so I know it’s not impossible to get.

Does anyone know how I can keep it? I really like the clean look of it.

To be clear, it’s not the Alexander Shield from the cover picture, it’s a version of the shield Bayek first uses at the start of the game that originally has some rope and leather covering part of it. For some reason when I’ve been googling “medjay shield”, a bunch of videos for the Alexander Shield come up, I guess people confuse them.
