I'm an independent. I don't care about immigration that much or saving democracy. But my number one issue is the economy, and it feels like the political-right has focused more on the economy than the political-left has.
The Economy and inflation is the number one issue for the average American, whereas I feel like Democrats are just obsessed with "saving democracy" and abortion. Why isn't the Economy and inflation the number one issue for Democrats? Poll after poll shows saving democracy and abortion being their top two issues. Are Democrats out of line with the average American?
Put very simply, you cannot have sustainably good economy that delivers for the majority of people without functioning institutions of democracy and freedom. Republicans used to know that.
