It's been a stressful few days. We survived the ambush in the square, only to find out that we lost contact with our fleet. We expected the worst, but it turns that our radio equipment got knocked around a fair bit in the escape, and we lost the frequency. After a bit of ingenuity, gotta love that no. 8 wire, we got the radio going again.
We managed to check in with the flotilla later that night, everyone onboard was fine, and they weren't really that worried. I sat down with the other guys in the land crew and we all agreed that what went down was over the top. But at the end of the day, it felt good to go a bit wild. We buried our lost in a simple ceremony, said a few words, and held a moment of silence.
The flotilla moves into the harbour in the morning. We scavenged through the dock today, and struck black gold. There was a huge oil tanker in good condition that had washed ashore at some stage in the last few years. We climbed onboard and managed to get the oil flowing again. Of course we had to test it first, we filled a few jerry cans and jump started a car by rolling it down a hill. The car started and ran beautifully. We drove it a few miles away from the dock and set it on fire to serve as a distraction.
We'll salvage as much fuel as possible in the morning before heading North. The fleet has been picking up a strange signal from somewhere in Australia...
OoC. I'm back! I'll try and update at least once every couple of days.
