The pilots returned earlier today from their island patrol. No sign of any fires on or near the island, and structures around the island all seem secure. Two pilots were sent across the strait to survey damage to the mainland vehicles.
Their report was... Uneasy:
The mainland vehicle fleet was unharmed by the storm, and the perimeter fence was visually secure.
There were zombies gathering on the shores of the mainland, less than a hundred or so. But we spotted more slowly moving south towards the shore.
The IPV HMNZS Rotoiti was spotted in the middle of the strait, no signs of life (or death onboard)
No survivor activity to report.
Trials of glider have proven successful, we'll look into grounding our microlight fleet to conserve fuel in favor of 2 ground tow launch gliders.
Increased observation range of the glider enabled us to fly over a port a few hundred klicks up the coast. Preliminary observations suggest fuel salvage may be possible from the tankers parked up. Recommend send a clean up crew.
We've set up a new long range observation post to monitor the situation, but planning has been made for a possible widespread evacuation.
The missing crew member of Queen of the Strait has not yet been found. We'll be putting curfews in place and increasing the number of guards on patrol for the next few weeks.
I'll be crossing the strait soon to observe what is happening first hand. This may suggest a higher neural capacity than originally thought. Further testing required. I'll let you guys know how it goes in the next couple of days.
Mathias out.
