The water level in our barometer is dropping, temperatures have dropped right down, and the wind has picked up. Off the coast I can see a huge storm front moving in. We've recalled the fishing fleet, it's far too dangerous to risk leaving the harbour. One ship is still out there, the Queen of the Strait. She's been out there all day, and the captain hasn't been responsing to our hails.

That's the least of our problems though. The ship HMNZS Rotoiti, an inshore patrol vessel, has been spotted off the Southern shore of the island. I fear she may wash ashore in this storm. The crew is long dead, and we don't have the resources to scuttle her. If she beaches, we're looking at an oil spill and an outbreak of zombies into the forest.

I'll update as often as possible, but the last storm knocked out our power for days, and the backup generators are running low.
