Elderly dog only pooping in house
Post Body

Hi there! I have a Maltese/yorkie mix who is 14-15 years old. We can tell she is nearing the end of her life, as in walking slower and losing some weight, but she’s still moving around fine and eating well.

The only thing that’s changed in the last couple months is she refuses to poop outside. We’ve been increasing the amount of outside potty breaks she gets, and she’s only using them to urinate. She will go pee outside, only to bark at the door to be let in, and then go poop somewhere inside.

What can we do to help this issue? We are being patient with her since she’s senile, but it’s still not pleasant to find, lol!
