Hi everyone,

As you may have noticed, we added an official wiki to the subreddit a few weeks ago. As part of the wiki, we have worked to overhaul our official Book List. (It sat untouched and unedited for seven years before this recent update.) It covers a variety of domestic and international political topics like theory, political science, international affairs, and issue-specific topics.

Despite the hours of work that we have put into this, the list is still relatively sparse. This is where you come in. Please share your book, web resource, and topic suggestions below! We want to create a comprehensive list of books which beginners and veteran political professionals alike can peruse and enjoy. Please read the guidelines for suggesting a book below.

• Suggestions should be political.
• Newspapers or other web-resources must be credible. Blogs, highly partisan papers, and clickbait will be removed. International news is allowed.
• Books: Provide us with the title and a brief summary.
  • Provide a brief summary or critique of the work. We are looking for suggestions like "You should add The Geographical Pivot of History by Sir Halford John Mackinder! He originally published in the article in 1904 and in it set forth his "Heartland Theory" which jump-started the field of geopolitics." You may also provide a link to a professional review of the book from a major publisher, newspaper, or person of interest.
• Topics: Provide us with a topic you think the book list is missing or needs and a brief explanation why.
