I think as everyone expected, the results aren't clear as of this morning. Please post all questions related to vote counting, the results, the campaigns or anything related to this last part of the election to this thread. All others will be removed.
Please follow the rules.
So, that aside, having looked at a few places (NYT, CNN, FoxNews, and DDHQ (neat little website I found last night)) the general results are... there's going to be a lot of recounts.
It looks like we're going to be going into counts/recounts for Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia, as all are extremely close. Maybe even Iowa and Arizona. Total chaos, cats and dogs living together.
While its pointless because those states above are enough to break it to either side depending on how the counts/recounts/lawsuits go, if the states end up how they are counted as of posting (11/4, 7:30ish) Trump will win reelection with 284 votes. But why is it pointless to say that right now? If only PA or MI flip and nothing else changes, Biden wins. If PA flips, but so does NV, Trump wins... start factoring in flips in NC or GA, but back in WI or AZ... man, things get complicated.
So it looks like we wait. Personally, I had hoped it wouldn't be this close (to spare the lawsuits) but it looks like that's inevitable at this point, as Trump said in the wee hours of the morning and Biden responded this morning.
Follow the rules please.
Edit: Looking at the down-ballot races, it looks like the Senate will be split 50/50 - McConnell, Ernst and Graham all look to have won re-election. Things look okay for Collins, Tillis, Kelly, Hickenlooper, and Perdue (unless he drops below 50, then a runoff). Michigan is going to depend on the count/recounts - which could be what breaks it 50/49. Then there's the other Georgia seat which would either make it Republican-controlled or 50/50... which then depends on who won the Presidency. But then it all depends on those counts/recounts too.
