Hello and Happy Monday!

We've been getting a lot of these types of questions recently, so I thought I'd offer a reminder about Rule 2, specifically regarding "poll"-type questions. We generally do not allow any question seeking the opinions or beliefs of a specific subset of the subreddit. r/Ask_Politics is for fact-based questions with objective answers that anybody should be able to answer (pursuant to Rule 4, of course).

Questions like "Do you think X is a good idea?" or "Supporters of Y, why?" do not fall under the scope of this subreddit. Questions that violate this rule can usually be reworded to be allowable: "Trump supporters, why do you X?" can be changed to "Why do Trump supporters do X?"
