Congress and the power of corporate money

My understanding is that corperations donate money to congressman/women because if they pump money into them they vote the way they want, we saw this with the copyright extension act and several others, why isn't this a bribe? Where is the line between donation and bribe? A bribe is when your given money to do something for someone, but congress does this every day but its OK, why?
