Is youth activism in current presidential elections a demographic thing?
Post Body
With Dean in '04, Obama in '08, and now Sanders, the "leftist youth-appealing candidate" seems like a bit of a new thing - in youth activism, if not voting patterns.
In contrast, in the first election I came of age in (1992), there were occasional stories about how youths were looking forward to killing the Reagan era, but it wasn't anything of great importance.
Is this since-04 pattern a demographic feature of millenials? Or is it "rise of social-media" driven?
Or is this confirmation bias and it was ever thus.
