[META]Can we "sidebar" common questions that seem to be popping up?

It seems at least once a week we get a rehash of a previous question. I just notice political parties most often since its fairly simple with how the rules in America govern them.

Its my hope that by doing this, we could move beyond just the "basic" question to more in-depth questions. Instead of "why are there two parties" it could become "What seems to be the path of our current two parties?" There was one just now about whether statism/libertarianism might overtake a party. That's the much more interesting topic.
