If these house speaker votes go on for an extended amount of time, when will new House Representatives start getting paid?

Canadian here. When I realized this whole speaker situation might actually drag on a while, I became curious about when the start date for there House rep salaries is. Are they not getting paid until they are sworn in, or will they be getting paid as soon as they started working, aka on Tuesday?
I suppose this is more of a governance question than a political one, but hopefully you have good answers!
