Hello, after a period of three years hustling in a law firm as an associate, I have decided to move in house. I will be signing the paperwork for a job in a pharmaceutical company as an Assistant Manager for Legal and Intellectual Property matters. The reason I have shifted gears is because the law firm lifestyle was no longer tenable for me personally and was beginning to affect my health.
So, I am curious, what other in house lawyers further ahead in the journey have to say and what your experiences have been like. What does your work look like? Etc.
A bit of me does have that chip on my head that "Oh, I wasn't tough enough to hack it in the law firm world" but even though i know that is rubbish, sometimes one just needs to hear stories and experiences from one's fraternity.
So, anyone?
