If someone sues you and it requires you to hire a lawyer or an attorney, what are the typical cases where the person who sued you is held liable for your costs? IE, if the case gets thrown out of court as the judge doesn't believe they have a leg to stand on, will the judge award you a pay back from the person that went after you, for your legal fees?
There seem to be a lot of people who think they can sue for anything and while many are hot heads and will never follow through with their threats, I'd imagine there are still quite a bit that wastes the courts time, trying to do so when they are in the wrong. I'm hoping that the court system is good at punishing them by making them pay the legal fees they cost the accused because of their own carelessness.
