I was watching some random sovcit court case where the defendant represented himself, and I just got so curious as to how putting yourself on the witness stand while representing yourself would work. Because it's normally like a question and answer, right? So like, how does that translate to a one-sided conversation? Do you just ramble? For that matter, wouldn't cross just like decimate your case? You wouldn't have the legal understanding(most of the time) to object to inappropriate questions correctly, even if they would be sustained should you raise them. Wouldn't cross just like obliterate your case fully? I live in the states, deep south where sovcit stuff is more common, but I'd also be curious how it works in other countries too. Thanks!
