I'm starting my 1L year soon I'm 21 at the moment, me and my boyfriend are planing on getting married next year and I really want to have kids at 25. I loved the idea of being a young mom and that's something that is super important to me. I was thinking of getting pregnant towards the end of my 3L so I can calmly finish school and pass the bar. However the only thing is that I want to go into the big law, and I know they aren't fans of women especially those who have families.
I assumed that if I get pregnant and have kids early it will make my career easier in the long run since I wouldn't take of in year 5-7 of big law to start a family.
For more context we are both from NYC currently living in NJ, and Iām planning on getting licensed to practice in both states
I just want to know your experience of being in big law and being mother, all advice is welcomed.
