I'm 33, single, with no kids. Today is the second day of my period, and it's unusually heavy. I believe this is the first time I've had an issue with my period, and I'm worried. I just stopped taking birth control pills last month after being on two different types (Yaz and Althea) for the past two months.

Prior to taking birth control pills, I went to the OB-GYN because I missed two consecutive periods due to my PCOS. I had a pap smear, which came back normal, but I am for further evaluation because she noticed lesions on my cervix. I haven't had that done yet.

I’ve also been spotting during sex, not after, and have been having brown discharge between periods. The last day of my previous period was on August 9, and now it started again yesterday, August 27. My cycle seems really messed up after starting and stopping bcps.
