Hello, I am a 26 m. I just started college in the fall of 2023. The longest relationship I ever had was ten months. The relationship mutually ended. It was with a woman around my age at the time. Sometimes, I feel embarrassed since I havent had a relationship that has lasted for a t least a couple years. I have tried dating apps and have thought about different ways just to get out on dates. However, sometimes I think I should take a break and focus on doing well in school, working, and improving my finances. I have some friends who are women. However, they're just friends right now. Sometimes, I think I should stay off of the apps and that I'll meet someone through a class or something that I am passionate about in general. Since I think passion is the best thing to bond over romantically. Such as an academic subject that you're passionate about like history or philosophy. So, I have though instead of trying to match with people on the apps. I should give it time and eventually I will meet someone in a healthy way through a college class or maybe even a hobby. I come from a background where my parents divorcee after a long marriage. They were married for over 20 years. I just want to do everything I possibly can to meet the right partner the right way and have a healthy marriage. Any advice is much appreciated.
