I was meeting a guy from a dating app at a bar last night. He arrived before me so he was sitting at the bar waiting and I came up behind him and as I approached, he had Instagram open with a picture of a thirst trap either in lingerie or a bikini. I believe it was at the top of his feed, and not necessarily him opening up her account and looking. He seemed very embarrassed when he realized I saw and made a comment like, “I messaged you…” because he told me he was at the bar, but I was walking in so I didn’t respond, so he seemed surprised I was there already.
This was our third date and while the first two went really went as far as conversation was concerned, this one started off awkward and never really took off.
Would this be a dealbreaker for you? Do all men follow thirst traps or is this a red flag?
