I have a buddy who actually looks like he gets upset when women wear makeup. He was super upset about his daughters wearing it and doesn’t like his wife to either. I helped him get his daughter a birthday gift and forced him into some makeup and he was almost seething. When he gave the present to his daughter she replied “Dad thank you, that was the best present you have ever got me, also it makes me feel like you think of me as an adult rather than a kid.” For the first time he sounded like he was a little happy that she reacted that way.

I asked him more about it, and he seemed to not like the idea of other men looking at his wife. So since he doesn’t want that she should have no need to wear it, and she shouldn’t want the attention of other men.

Speaking to his wife briefly she lightly joked that she should would wear makeup but her hub doesn’t like it so oh well.

Is this a control thing?
