Bags that don’t break your back

Hi all,

For a long time I’ve been using a regular backpack to carry my lunch, water and a few necessities to and from work. I walk and take the subway. Lately I’ve been feeling that this backpack makes me look a bit kiddish and, in general, ruins a lot of my outfits. For this reason I bought a regular black shoulder bag, very spacious. After work the weight is negligible and I figured the weight in the morning would be okay to handle. However a few weeks later I’m feeling very exhausted and have some chest pain, both of which I think are due to this bag and misbalanced weight.

Any suggestions? Have you found the perfect bag?
