I’m going through a divorce (post history for reasons - he’s been mentally and emotionally abusive for years). My husband hasn’t worked in 8 years and has no income, credit, etc. to get a place to live so he’s still in our marital home. I thought I could tolerate us living in the same house while we go through the divorce process, but I just can’t. In order to facilitate him moving out, I’d have to co-sign on a place for him, which id rather not do.
The prices in our town (and pretty much all the surrounding towns) have skyrocketed since we bought our house a few years ago and rents are even crazier. Would it be unreasonable to temporarily live in a one-bedroom cottage with 2 kids (we’d have about a 50/50 split for parenting time right now). I have a 6 year old girl and a 6 month old boy. I was thinking I could have my daughter sleep in the bedroom, and I could sleep on a pull out couch in the living room with the baby in a bassinet. Thanks for any thoughts.
