When a man shaves his head, should he have facial hair or be a baby face?

Hi, I'm Mark, going to be 53 in December and I am thinning up top. I started shaving my head to just deal with it instead of looking like Friar Tuck, but had always been a cleanly shaven man on the face. I was wondering the opinion of the ladies here if you prefer facial hair if the top is smooth or does it depend on the man?
