So, a little back story... I met this man 3 years ago and we dated for a few amazing months in the summer. Everything was so easy and comfortable between us. When we first met he said he wasn't looking for a relationship but we talked all the time and liked each other so much things developed between us. Near the end of the summer the reasons he wasn't looking for a relationship became too much and he broke up with me very reluctantly. He said he didn't have anything to offer me right now and as much as he wanted to be with me he had stuff to deal with and didn't want to keep hurting me.

We tried to stay friends immediately after but I couldn't handle it and asked him to stop reaching out unless he changed his mind. Eventually, I got enough distance and we started talking again. He would check in on me every 6 or 8 months to see how I was and always asked about my relationship status.

This winter I became single again and I knew that he was done with school (one of the things that was a reason he hadn't wanted a relationship when we first met). In the spring I reached out to him to congratulate him on being done school and we started having more regular communication again.

Then, a few weeks ago and for the first time since we broke up he asked to see me to go fishing. (One of the things we frequently did together and what we started out doing the night we moved beyond friendship.) I said yes but I'd have to replace my gear which I lost in a fire.

Now, I've got my gear but he hasn't replied to or even read my last two messages and I haven't heard from him in 2 weeks. He's never toyed with me and I don't believe he would ghost after asking to see me for the first time in three years. He's got 4 teenagers and a job, I know he's really busy during stretches in the summer... I don't know if I should call him or try to move on or what. Help please 😧
