Sometimes I think people online have algorithms that push them into thinking very niche ideas are universal truths when they’re not.
Yes a lot of weirdos are posting fetish content here, but also a lot of subreddits have the same ideas floating around that don’t reflect real life in my opinion. Dating subs are probably the worst, but I’ve noticed this in a lot of casual discussion subs too. Or if you’ve ever had the pleasure of reading people on Reddit’s understanding of your education/occupation, it’s usually inaccurate but taken as gospel.
What is the opinion you see the most where you’d like to see people actually go out and test it out to see how wrong they are?
