how open are you to the child free lifestyle long term?

I have a job I like with a future of advancement and great benefits, but it's as a agent of the federal government so I'm never going to be wealthy. This doesn't bother me because I will make enough to be quite comfortable as long as I never have kids. Kids would destroy my plan for my life, so it's completely out of the question.
how many of you would not have a problem with that?
