My cat was not doing too well a couple days ago breathing heavy, acting lethargic and abnormal. I took her to the vet and they found fluid in her lungs. They drained some of the fluid so she can breathe better now. They also gave me Furosemide which I have been giving her everyday. But they tested the fluid and its likely either lymphoma or carcinoma cancer :(. They said they could recommend me to a specialist and maybe get treatment for her, but she is 17 years old and might not live long and may be suffering rather then living. I grew up with this cat and I love her so much.

Sometimes I feel fine when she is loving my head scratches and pets and meowing out of reaction. She is a Siamese mix, she is very vocal. However, she also has not been able to defecate, she's been peeing a lot but not pooping often. I think something is wrong with her digestive system possibly from the cancer. Sometimes she will try and go poop and nothing will come out. I've seen her poop once after coming home from the vet about 3 days ago. I am also trying to give her some supplements to help her digest and poop, but it is not really working.

She is drinking a lot of water and eating, but not eating as much as she used to. She was chilling on my bed and I feel like an idiot for giving her water on my bed because I thought she was thirsty. She drank a lot of water, but then shortly after she got off my bed (short bed with pillows around to let her just walk off) and she was howling, she then throws up some type of fluid on my carpet and it looked like she was in pain. She is now just laying on my floor , she is breathing fine but I don't like seeing her like that. I'm not sure really what to do here, she does seem happy and content sometimes still but she also seems like she may be in some sort of pain or discomfort with not being able to digest her food properly. I really don't want her to be in any pain and I really don't wanna wait too late, but I also don't wanna do it to early. Does anyone have any advice?
