6 month old Kitten "ejaculating" during petting?

My male kitten hit the 6 month mark and twice today while petting him as he lay on his back, his penis emerged and quickly shot some sort of ejaculate out. Nasty indeed.

Anyway, I didn't get hit either time thankfully, and I have him scheduled for neutering in a week. Is this semen or urine coming from him and will this behaviour stop once he is neutered?
