Oliver has shown some unusual skin rash/spottyness on his chest and belly lately we noticed maybe a half a week ago. When glancing at it, I thought it was just dirt from the muddy dog run. But after looking a bit closer, a few days later, it seems like a very light rash, and there's a scab. His hair on his underside has always tended thin, and hasn't seemed to thin out further. He hasn't shown any discomfort, or scratching of the area, and it isn't sensitive to the touch. You can see a few pictures here, for clarity. Could the cold weather be causing something like this? We're in the NYC area, and we'll be getting ahold of the vet ASAP, but ours is closed until after the new year. If anyone can offer any insight, I'd be happy to hear it. Sorry if I've broken any rules, this is my first post here.
